This morning, I got up and out early and biked over to Milan’s main duomo. I went right when they opened to avoid the crowds, and climbed the 261 steps to the upper terraces. (That seemed so easy after my other climbs!) Once up there, you get to see much of the architecture up close and the views of Milan are expansive.
After spending a while on the terraces (30 minutes or so), I descended the steps and went inside the church – where the views were equally as expansive. The giant columns and detailed stain glass were magnificent.
